David Montero 2c43c638a1 prerender: SSR bodies were never injected; examples gallery renders on the server
replaceRootSeo() swaps the static #root-seo fallback for the page's SSR
body by string search. The old regex required a <script> right after the
block, but Vite hoists the module script into <head> in the built
index.html, so it never matched: every prerendered page (landings, /v3,
/about, all 171 example pages) shipped the HOMEPAGE's fallback body —
same <h1>, same nav — under its own <head>. Two hundred near-duplicate
bodies, and none of the landings' actual content (h1, sections, FAQ)
ever reached the crawler.

ExamplesGallery passes a server snapshot to useSyncExternalStore so
/examples SSRs instead of falling back to meta-only.

David Montero Crespo 16c3089c5f feat(inspector+gallery): example links in the Properties tab; dynamic board tabs in /examples
The part inspector (right-click dialog) now lists the gallery examples that
use the part at the bottom of the Properties tab — matched by metadata id
against boardType/boardFilter/boards[].boardKind/components[].type, so it
works for components and boards alike, including overlay-registered ones
(re-derived via the pro-examples version subscription). Each link opens the
live editor (/example/:id) in a new tab. i18n key in all 9 locales.

The /examples board filter combo was a fixed list, so examples for
runtime-registered boards (XIAO, M5Stack, Raspberry Pi, ...) were reachable
only under "All". The gallery now appends a tab per board kind found in the
registered examples, labelled from BOARD_KIND_LABELS.

David Montero Crespo 08c5626b79 feat(sim): board-agnostic microphone seam + reSpeaker gallery glyph
setMicrophoneSource on the simulator shim mirrors addI2CDevice: a part
that produces audio hands one 16-bit sample per call to whatever bridge
implements the method (the in-browser JS-engine bridges); everywhere
else the optional chain makes it a silent mic. No board-kind checks in
components. Plus the flat reSpeaker Lite glyph for gallery cards.

David Montero Crespo c02547049d feat: ESP32 bridge seams, picker datasheets, S3/C3 examples + online-only board showcase
Generic platform work ported from the internal line:
- Esp32BridgeFactory seam + rebuildEsp32Bridge + sync-I2C seam: a
substitute simulation bridge (e.g. the hosted editor's in-browser JS
emulators) can be installed without touching OSS code
- Component datasheets: hover popover (ComponentInfoPanel) + markdown
  docs for common parts
- Per-chip S3/C3 basics examples for the gallery
- .gitignore: never allow pro emulator mask ROMs into the OSS repo

New: online-only board showcase. Boards implemented by the hosted editor
(ESP32-C6, M5Stack Core, Cardputer ADV, Pimoroni RP2350 family) appear
in the picker as advertisement cards with an ONLINE badge linking to
velxio.com, where they are free to use. Ads auto-hide in any build that
registers the real BoardKind.

David Montero Crespo fcfe47eab5 redesign(examples): compact toolbar + denser grid + fix card black bars
The examples page showed only ~3 cards per row (the grid was capped at
max-width 1200px with minmax(300px) columns), a tall header, and three
stacked filter rows (16 board tabs + category + difficulty) that pushed
the actual examples far down the page. Card thumbnails also letterboxed
with black bars on the sides.

- Grid: widen to 1680px + minmax(232px) columns → ~6 cols on a 1600px
screen (was 3). Cards smaller/denser (radius, info padding, title).
- Thumbnails: fixed 5:3 aspect-ratio container + object-fit:cover so the
preview fills edge to edge — no more black side bars.
- Filters: replace the search row + 16 board tabs + two button rows with
ONE compact toolbar (search + Board/Category/Difficulty dropdowns +
live count) and removable filter chips (badges with ×) + Clear all.
- Header trimmed (smaller title, less margin) so cards start high.

David Montero eb6a59adf6 style(ui): unify every interactive surface on the single #0071e3 accent
Sweep all off-brand blues (#007acc logo-blue, #0e639c, #3b82f6) and the neon
cyan family (#4fc3f7, #00b8d4, #00e5ff, rgba 0,184,212 / 0,122,204) across the
editor, simulator, examples gallery and pages to var(--color-action-primary).
The Code/Both/Circuit toggle, board chips, library manager, modals etc. now
match the Libraries / +Add buttons. Also keep the editor Libraries label
visible in the default split (lower the container-query threshold).

David Montero 7b483f6109 feat(examples): add a Retro category to the gallery sidebar
A tag-based 'Retro' tab (next to All) collects the Z80 / Intel / vintage-CPU
examples via their 'retro' tag, regardless of board filter (they still also
appear under Digital). One-file change: BOARD_TABS + an isRetro predicate
special-cased in the filter and the tab count.

David Montero 81fdb0b959 feat(examples): order gallery by board (Arduino Uno first), then title
Sort filteredExamples by the board's position in BOARD_TABS — which puts
Arduino Uno first — and alphabetically by title within each board. Applies

David Montero d9f98709d2 fix(examples): show STM32 boards in the gallery filter
Add STM32 Blue Pill / Black Pill tabs to BOARD_TABS, and make getBoardFilter
honor an explicit boardFilter before the boards[] check. The STM32 examples
are authored with the multi-board boards[] format even when single-board, so
they were all bucketed under "Multi-Board" and had no STM32 filter tab.
Now they appear under their dedicated STM32 tabs (attiny85 single-board
examples authored the same way get correctly bucketed too).

David Montero 44f12f0e53 feat(seo+nav+community): public-project indexing + classroom nav + examples grid
Search-engine indexing of public projects
- Update robots.txt to also list /sitemap-projects.xml so Googlebot /
Bingbot discover every public project's canonical /:username/:slug URL.
- Add /docs/github-sync + /classroom entries to seoRoutes.ts so the
  build-time sitemap.xml picks them up.

Navigation polish
- AppHeader gains a "For schools" link between Pricing and Download.
- LandingPage's pricing section gets a slim banner under the cards
pointing institutional visitors to /classroom (visible discovery path,
  not just a footer link).
- Localised header.nav.classroom + landing.pricing.classroomBanner +
  landing.pricing.classroomCta across all 9 maintained locales (en/es/
  pt-br/fr/de/it/ja/ru/zh-cn).

Community examples
- New CommunityProjectsGrid component lives next to ExamplesGallery on
  /examples. Fetches /api/projects/featured (Pro-overlay-only endpoint)
and renders the top public projects ranked by run_count. Quietly
hides itself when the endpoint returns nothing or fails, so the OSS
  build still ships cleanly.

David Montero Crespo 4df81a3eda feat(examples): translate ExamplesPage + ExamplesGallery to 9 locales
The /examples gallery is fully localised:
- Header (heading + subtitle).
- Search input placeholder + aria-label + the clear button.
- Match-count tag with i18next pluralisation (handles _one /
_other and Russian's _few / _many).
- Category and Difficulty filter labels + their button labels
  (basics / sensors / displays / communication / games / robotics
  / circuits; beginner / intermediate / advanced).
- Per-card "Copy shareable link" tooltip.
- Empty-state copy with two variants (with-search / without-
  search) interpolating the search query.
- Reset-filters button.
- The library-install progress overlay copy from
  ExamplesPage.tsx ("Installing libraries (N/M)") with done/total
  interpolation.

Internal /editor link uses localize() so a Spanish reader who
clicks an example lands on /es/editor.

Hand-translated for all 8 non-English locales. Per-example titles
+ descriptions are NOT i18n yet — they live in the
src/data/examples* tables and would need a separate pipeline.
DocsPage (2715 lines of prose) deferred too — best handled by
running scripts/translate-i18n.mjs once the keys are extracted.

davidmonterocrespo24 37fbc502d1 chore(examples): drop PNG thumbnails, ship WebP only (-80% asset size)
The PNG fallbacks were carrying 80% of the gallery's bundled weight
(16 MB of 20 MB) and serving virtually no traffic — WebP is supported
on ~97% of in-use browsers, and the few hold-outs (very old Safari)
fall through to the CircuitPreview SVG mock via the existing onError
handler. No visual regression for modern browsers.

Numbers:
- before: 258 files, ~20 MB total
- after: 129 files, ~3.6 MB total (avg 28.6 KB / WebP)

ExampleThumbnail simplified: drops the <picture>/<source> wrap around
the WebP <source> + PNG fallback, just renders the WebP <img> directly
with onError → CircuitPreview.

davidmonterocrespo24 d53f4f1380 feat(examples): real canvas screenshots as gallery thumbnails
Replaces the manually-positioned wokwi-element mock (CircuitPreview) in
the /examples gallery with real screenshots of the actual simulator
canvas, so each card shows the example's boards + components + wires
exactly as they appear when you open the example.

How it works
- A new <ExampleThumbnail> component tries
/examples-thumbs/<id>.{webp,png} first. If the image 404s — or no
thumbnail has been captured yet — it falls back to the existing
CircuitPreview component. No-op for examples without a screenshot.
- ExamplesGallery and ExampleDetailPage now render <ExampleThumbnail>
  instead of CircuitPreview directly.
- Explicit example.thumbnail field still wins (kept the existing
override path in case someone wants a custom asset).

Capture pipeline
- Generated by velxio-prod's scripts/capture-example-thumbs.mjs
(Playwright + sharp). For each example: opens /examples/<slug>,
clicks "Open in Simulator", waits for [data-board-id] elements,
computes the bbox of all boards + components, sets a transform on
.canvas-world to center and fit them with 12% padding inside the
canvas viewport, screenshots .canvas-content, and re-encodes to
  600x360 @2x DPI as .png + .webp.

This commit ships the first batch (102 of ~129 examples — the rest
will follow once the capture completes; missing slugs gracefully
fall back to CircuitPreview in the meantime).

David Montero Crespo 155b962c21 feat(gallery): add 2 ESP32-CAM examples to the in-app gallery
Adds two listed examples to the gallery (book icon → Examples) so
users can one-click load the new ESP32-CAM emulation:

1. ESP32-CAM: Webcam Demo (sensors / beginner)
Minimal sketch — init OV2640, verify SCCB chip-id, loop on
esp_camera_fb_get() printing frame metadata to Serial. Proves
the emulation is alive without any external components.

2. ESP32-CAM + ILI9341 Live Preview (displays / intermediate)
Full demo — decode JPEG with jpg2rgb565() (built-in to
esp32-camera/conversions, header exposed by the Velxio compile
template) and render the resulting RGB565 bitmap to a 320×240
SPI TFT. Pre-wired diagram: ILI9341 connected via VSPI to GPIOs
12-15 (the only block free after OV2640 takes over the rest of
   the AI-Thinker pins).

Type changes:
- ExampleProject.boardType union extended with 'esp32-cam'
- BOARD_TABS in ExamplesGallery.tsx gets a new "ESP32-CAM" tab
  (orange #d35400)

Both examples use boardFilter: 'esp32-cam' so they show under
the new tab and not the generic ESP32 one.
