David Montero Crespo 3bcb8d518e feat(editor): starter-template picker on pristine /editor and New workspace
New NewProjectDialog: a bare /editor visit (and the New workspace button)
offers a blank workspace or a ready-to-run Blink starter per board family
instead of silently dropping the user into the hardcoded Uno + LED starter.
Boards with a gallery Blink example load it fully wired; the rest get a
fresh board with the on-board-LED sketch. Pro-gated boards carry the PRO
pill and go through the boardGateDecision seam. Shows once per page load;
en/es strings (the other locales fall back to English for now).

David Montero Crespo b1c9c41849 ux(datasheet): soften the purchase link — "Buy" becomes a localized "Product page"
The word "Buy" on a solid button read as an ad inside a work dialog. The
link is really a pointer to the part's product page, so it now says that —
localized in all nine languages — with an external-link icon instead of a
shopping cart. Same URL, same placement, in both the part inspector and the
picker hover card.

David Montero Crespo 16c3089c5f feat(inspector+gallery): example links in the Properties tab; dynamic board tabs in /examples
The part inspector (right-click dialog) now lists the gallery examples that
use the part at the bottom of the Properties tab — matched by metadata id
against boardType/boardFilter/boards[].boardKind/components[].type, so it
works for components and boards alike, including overlay-registered ones
(re-derived via the pro-examples version subscription). Each link opens the
live editor (/example/:id) in a new tab. i18n key in all 9 locales.

The /examples board filter combo was a fixed list, so examples for
runtime-registered boards (XIAO, M5Stack, Raspberry Pi, ...) were reachable
only under "All". The gallery now appends a tab per board kind found in the
registered examples, labelled from BOARD_KIND_LABELS.

David Montero Crespo bf56295f41 refactor(inspector): delete confirmation via the global confirm modal
Replaces the inline swap-the-action-bar confirmation (buttons jumped
around) with showConfirmDialog, same pattern as FileExplorer. While the
modal is open the dialog's Escape/click-outside close handlers stand
down. Boards keep their own remove-board modal via skipDeleteConfirm.

David Montero Crespo 64deb204ae feat(news): rich media in posts - inline images/GIFs + YouTube click-to-play previews
NewsMarkdown (shared renderer): YouTube links render as a thumbnail +
play badge that swaps to the youtube-nocookie iframe on click (nothing
loads from the player until the user opts in); images render inline;
all links open in a new tab. Product decision supersedes the alt-text
image stripping: posts embed screenshots/demos, and the README now
documents that embedded media loads in the viewer's browser.

David Montero Crespo 6205e32741 fix(news): harden the feed proxy + honor the self-host privacy promise
Security review follow-ups (all LOW):
- proxy: negative cache on upstream failure (no outbound fetch per
request while velxio.dev is unreachable) and a 2MB body cap via
streaming read (httpx timeouts are per read op, not per body)
- NewsModal: OSS builds render markdown images as alt text so viewers'
browsers never contact remote hosts; pro cloud builds show them

David Montero Crespo 801bb94eab feat(news): What's New modal - product news feed, once-per-user queue
Editor shows scheduled product-news posts as a markdown modal: max one
per day, oldest first, each post only ever once (marked seen at
delivery). OSS default source proxies velxio.dev's public feed through
the local backend (cached ~6h, anonymous, VELXIO_NEWS=off to disable)
with seen-state in localStorage; a pro overlay can register a
server-backed per-user source via lib/newsSource.ts.

David Montero Crespo c9fe6f199d feat(editor): folders - create/delete folder trees in the file explorer
File names may now carry '/' paths; the explorer renders each board group
as a collapsible folder tree (folders first, files in group order, CSS-var
indentation because .fe-file-item pins padding with !important). New-folder
buttons on the board header and per-folder hover actions (new file here,
new subfolder, delete with confirm when files are inside; a folder holding
every file of the group cannot be deleted - groups keep >= 1 file).

Model: names are the source of truth; only EMPTY folders are tracked
(folderGroups per group) so they survive until a file lands in them, then
materialise into the name prefix. Round-trips through .vlx (optional
folderGroups field, laxly validated), the auth stash draft, and
loadProjectState. Examples gain boards[].files so a single board can ship
a full multi-file tree (first entry = main sketch).

Backend: the arduino-cli sketch writer now creates subdirectories for
'/'-pathed names and REJECTS names that resolve outside the sketch dir
('..' traversal) - previously it crashed on the former and wrote outside
the tmp dir on the latter.

David Montero Crespo 36c414df8f feat(sd): source files stay off the card - only project DATA files auto-copy
On real hardware your code lives in flash, not on the microSD; a sketch
listing the card should see its data (csv, json, txt, wav...), not its
own source. buildProjectSdImage now skips .ino/.h/.hpp/.c/.cpp/.py from
the workspace auto-copy. Explicit uploads are exempt - an upload always
lands whatever its extension. Panel hint updated; tests cover both the
exclusion and the upload exemption (15 green).

David Montero Crespo 2dcb3eb65f fix(ui): SD download label, board inspector on right-click while running, solid-blue Buy
- The live card file action now says Download (it was Save).
- Right-click opens the board inspector in EVERY mode: the contextmenu
handler moves from the drag overlay (hidden during simulation) to the
board wrapper, so the SD panel is reachable while the sketch runs and
  the board's buttons stay interactive.
- Buy button in the inspector action bar goes solid brand blue #0071e3,
  matching Velxio's solid-button language.

David Montero Crespo baa5925f95 feat(sd): live Card contents in the SD panel - list and download what the sketch wrote
The SD panel only knew about uploads; everything the GUEST wrote to the
FAT card (photos, logs) stayed invisible inside the bridge. New
readFat16Image() parses the card image back (BPB-driven, real cluster
chains, VFAT long names, root dir - the inverse of buildFat16Image but
general enough for FatFs-written cards), and the panel gains a live
'Card contents' section reading the bridge's readSdImage() with a
per-file Save (download) button and a Refresh. Round-trip covered in
fat-image.test.ts (16 green).

David Montero Crespo 57e04b60e8 fix(webcam): per-board frame byte budget - Sense frames fit the S3 fb
Real webcams hit the 23000-byte bound, but the S3 esp32-camera build
allocates width*height/5 = 15360 bytes for a QVGA JPEG frame buffer and
stops copying one 1 KiB DMA half-buffer short of it, so oversized frames
lost their tail - including the EOI marker cam_hal scans for (the NO-EOI
storm on staging; the small canvas-fake frames masked it). The bounded
encoder now takes a budget (14000 for the Sense, default 23000 for the
QEMU ESP32-CAM path unchanged), the downscale fallback re-runs its own
quality ladder, and a frame that cannot fit is skipped instead of sent
truncated.

David Montero Crespo 5a71023ac9 fix(camera-toggle): toolbar-wide ant line gone; ants only while running
The toggle's attention border reused the .velxio-ants class name, which
is ALSO the canvas selection outline whose ::after is position:absolute
- on the non-positioned button it anchored to the toolbar and drew a
marching-ant line across its full width. Renamed the button variant to
.velxio-btn-ants. The ants also showed while the simulation was stopped;
now they only run when the sketch is running and the camera is off (the
only moment the button is actually asking for a click).

David Montero Crespo e96dae794a feat(mic): stream the computer's microphone into boards with an on-board mic
New canvas-header Mic toggle, shown for boards whose ProBoardDef declares
builtInMicrophone (their bridge implements setMicrophoneSource). Capture
runs at the AudioContext's native rate, is decimated to 16 kHz and ring-
buffered (2 s, drop-oldest on overflow, silence on underflow - the engine
paces pulls in simulated cycles, up to 4x real time during boot boost).
No auto-start: with the toggle off the bridge's 440 Hz test tone keeps
mic sketches alive, so taking the user's microphone stays an explicit
click. The source is re-applied on every run start to survive bridge
rebuilds.

David Montero Crespo bd1ee89b5e feat(camera): the webcam toggle serves the XIAO ESP32S3 Sense too
The Camera button was hard-gated to the esp32-cam board kind. The Sense now
runs its camera through the S3 engine's LCD_CAM model, fed by the same
useWebcamFrames -> sendCameraFrame path, so the toggle shows for it as well.

David Montero cd67362312 feat(libraries): manifest auto-migration + name-affinity ranking + install-declares
Three-part fix for the library-contamination class of ESP32 compile
failures (a user's project kept pulling unrelated libraries because 79%
of projects compile with an empty manifest, forcing scan-all resolution
over ~1000 shared libraries):

1. Name-affinity ranking in _find_library_for_header: the provider whose
name matches the header stem wins (exact normalized match > esp32
arch declaration > contains-stem, alphabetical only as tie-break).
Previously first-alphabetical won, so any stray library shipping a
generic header (Servo.h has 6 providers) could hijack the build.

2. Manifest auto-migration: scan-all compiles now report the libraries
the build really used (manifest_incomplete +
manifest_suggested_libraries on the compile result); the editor folds
single-candidate suggestions into the board's declared manifest after
a green build, so the NEXT compile runs scoped. One green build = one
migrated project; empty-manifest scan-all behaviour is untouched.

3. Install-declares: the Wokwi import library modal records successful
installs in the active board's manifest, and .vlx export/import now
   round-trips board.libraries.

Tests: test_espidf_library_ranking.py (9) + library-manifest.test.ts (19).

David Montero Crespo cfa03aeaf9 feat(sd): boards with a built-in microSD slot take user uploads
A ProBoardDef can declare builtInSdCsPin, and the store already built a FAT
card from the project files for it - but there was no way to put YOUR files
on that card: the upload panel only existed for the microsd-card component
and for parts with metadata.sdSlot, and boards have no properties bag.

Boards now carry sdFiles (same shape the SD panel persists everywhere else):

- BoardInstance.sdFiles, consumed by the store's Run path (card component
  still wins when one is on the canvas);
- the board inspector shows the SD Card panel whenever the board kind
  declares builtInSdCsPin, and routes the panel's onChange to updateBoard;
- .vlx round-trips it (serialisableBoard + payload type), and gallery
examples can pre-load the slot via ExampleBoard.sdFiles, applied by
loadExample the way the panel would.

First user: the XIAO ESP32S3 Sense (CS=GPIO21), whose board def and example
land in the pro overlay.

David Montero Crespo c6256cc49a feat(ui): one action bar for both tabs, and no sideways scroll in the datasheet
- Rotate/Delete (and the board actions) moved OUT of the left column into a
bar across the bottom of the dialog, so they are in the same place on both
tabs. Buy joins them, right-aligned: it used to be the last thing in the
datasheet body, which meant scrolling that pane to the end to reach it, and
it did not exist at all on the Properties tab.
- The datasheet scrolled sideways because the doc tables have a nowrap first
column (the pin name) and wide pinouts pushed past the pane. The dialog is
wider (720px, still clamped to the viewport so it cannot run off the right
edge) and the doc now wraps: fixed table layout, wrapping first column,
pre-wrap on code blocks, overflow-x hidden.

David Montero Crespo 269503b386 fix(ui): one height for both inspector tabs, and solid brand buttons
Switching Properties <-> Datasheet resized the whole dialog: each tab sized
to its own content, so a short property list shrank it and a long datasheet
grew it. The tab pane is now a fixed 360px (capped at 46vh) and each tab
scrolls inside it, so the dialog holds still. The mobile full-sheet keeps
flowing as one column.

Rotate and Delete were outline buttons; the brand kit says interactive
surfaces are solid accent blue (--blue-600 #0071e3, hover --blue-500) and
destructive ones solid danger red (--red-500 #ff453a), both with white text.
They use the app's own tokens rather than hardcoded hex.

David Montero Crespo a1307f117d fix(ui): the inspector remounted its preview on every render, so it flickered
The preview effect still depended on componentMetadata BY IDENTITY. For
components that is stable (the registry hands back the same object), but for
BOARDS the canvas builds the metadata inline per render, so every parent
re-render - which a pointer moving over the canvas causes - tore the preview
element down and rebuilt it. The dialog visibly resized and snapped back.

It now keys on a digest of the metadata (id, tagName, defaults) and reads the
object through a ref, joining propsKey and pinsKey which were fixed the same
way earlier. Nothing rebuilds unless something real changed.

David Montero Crespo d74df3323f fix(ui): say when a part has no datasheet instead of showing an empty tab
91 of the 156 catalogue parts have neither an authored doc nor a metadata
description, so the Datasheet tab rendered nothing but tag chips and read as
broken. It now states plainly that no datasheet is written yet, and points at
the pin map, which IS the useful content for those parts. The picker hover
card gets the same line, since both render one body.

David Montero Crespo 4f68109421 feat(ui): pins always on in the inspector, above the chat, and traceable
Three things from using it:

- The pin map is why the dialog gets opened, so hiding it behind a checkbox
meant every visit started with a click. Pins are always drawn now and the
toggle is gone (with its translation key).
- The dialog sat at z-index 1300 and the pro agent chat panel docks over the
canvas at 8000, so on a wide layout the dialog opened UNDERNEATH the chat -
invisible, on the very area the chat covers. It now sits at 8500: above the
chat, still below the component picker.
- On a 32-pin board a name in the gutter could not be matched to a pad by
eye. Hovering (or focusing) either the label or the dot now lights the
whole run - label, leader line and pad together.
2026-08-04 02:43:53 +02:00
David Montero Crespo 34faca355e feat(ui): boards open the Part Inspector too, replacing their own menu
Right-clicking a board opened a small bespoke menu (Board Options... / Flash
to real board / Remove board) with its styling inline, while components got
the inspector. Boards now open the SAME dialog: the live board art with every
pin labelled at its real position, and an actions column that carries Board
Options and Flash instead of Rotate (boards do not rotate), with the delete
button reading "Remove board" and the wire count moved into the confirmation.

The dialog grew four optional props to make that possible without a second
implementation: extraActions, deleteLabel/deleteHint, and
previewTagName/previewAttributes - boards select their art through a
board-kind ATTRIBUTE rather than a property, so the preview needs to set it.

Also adds the boardOptions and flashToBoard strings to the nine locales: the
old menu hardcoded them in English, so those two items never translated.
205 lines of inline-styled menu are gone.

David Montero Crespo cbc74d8409 fix(ui): the inspector dropped labels for inset pin columns, and flickered
Three things the dialog got wrong in use:

1. Missing pins. Classification was nearest-edge with an "interior" bucket,
and interior pins printed no label - only a dot with a tooltip. The
ReSpeaker Lite showed it: its XIAO socket is two INSET columns (x=50.5 and
126.5 on a 178-wide body) plus two breakout columns, so most of its pins
were called interior and the part looked like it was missing them. The
classifier now finds the LINES first - pins sharing an x are a column,
pins sharing a y a row - assigns each line to the side of the body it sits
on however far inset it is, and joins label to dot with a leader. Only a
lone pad falls back to nearest-edge. Every pin gets a printed label; that
is now the contract, covered by a ReSpeaker test with its real table.

2. The panel was cut off on the Datasheet tab until some unrelated event
re-rendered it. The datasheet loads asynchronously, so the one-shot
measure placed the dialog while it was still short and it then grew off
screen. A ResizeObserver repositions on any size change, and the tab body
caps its own height so long markdown scrolls inside the tab.

3. Flicker when the pointer left and re-entered. The preview effect depended
on componentProperties and pinInfo by identity - both are rebuilt on every
parent render (pinInfo is a getter) - so the element was torn down and
remounted constantly. It now depends on stable digests of them.
2026-08-03 23:04:37 +02:00
David Montero Crespo b02aab9a47 fix(ui): crowded pin headers escaped the inspector - draw those labels vertically
An SSD1306 has 8 pins along a 240px header. Horizontal labels need ~36px
each = 288px, so they overflowed the art box and rendered outside the dialog,
over the header and the canvas. Top/bottom labels are now vertical text - what
printed pinout diagrams do - which needs only the side spacing, and the gutter
grows to fit. The preview also clips, so nothing can escape again.
2026-08-03 22:04:43 +02:00
David Montero Crespo d4a42a4e75 feat(ui): the Part Inspector - right-click dialog merged with the picker card
The right-click dialog was a 250px column: every pin as a text row (an ESP32
means 30 rows of scrolling), a few editors, Rotate/Delete. The picker's info
card (datasheet, brand, Buy) was a separate surface you could only reach by
hovering the catalogue. One dialog now serves both:

- ~560px, two panes: live preview + actions on the left, Properties/Datasheet
tabs on the right. The Datasheet tab IS the picker card's body -
ComponentInfoPanel was split into an embeddable ComponentInfoBody (+
useComponentDoc, and its .cip-* styles moved to their own stylesheet) so
  both surfaces render one implementation.
- "Show pins" (off by default): the preview is the REAL web component,
mounted and scaled, with pin markers at their true pinInfo positions and
labels flanking the side each pin lives on. pinInspectorLayout is pure
  geometry - nearest-edge classification, per-side label stacking with a
minimum spacing and leader lines when nudged, interior pins as
dot+tooltip - driven only by pinInfo plus the measured element size, so
every part and board, present or future, works with no per-part data.
Dots are tinted by the pin's declared signal (i2c/spi/power/...).
- Clicking a pin keeps the old contract (onPinSelect -> handlePinClick), so
wires start with the same undo, colors and running-state gating.
- The two open gestures finally agree on coordinates: right-click always
passed viewport coords while touch passed canvas-local ones; the dialog is
now portaled to body in viewport space and the touch site converts.
- Keybind capture, the SD Card panel, the two-step delete, Escape and
click-outside all migrate unchanged. Mobile keeps the full-sheet layout.

Geometry covered by pin-inspector-layout.test.ts with coordinate tables
copied verbatim from the shipped parts (ESP32 two-column board, LED, an
interior-pin case).

David Montero Crespo ca799136f6 feat(sd): parts with their own TF slot get the SD upload panel
The "SD Card" upload panel in the property dialog was keyed to one component
id, microsd-card, so a part that CARRIES a slot of its own (the Seeed Round
Display shield) had a working card electrically but no way to put files on
it - the user saw the slot mount and could never feed it.

New metadata flag sdSlot: the dialog shows the same panel for any part that
declares it, persisting uploads as properties.sdFiles exactly like the
standalone card. The part's simulation is responsible for reading them when
it builds its card image.

David Montero Crespo ab7949502d feat(sim): seated sockets are electrical, and capability is probed
Three generic seams, none naming any board:

The pin tracer gains a socket hop: a component that declares boardSocket
with a board actually seated on it resolves a pad to the SAME-NAMED pin
of that board — seating IS the connection, like a XIAO pushed into a
shield header or a HAT on the 40-pin. Until now a seated shield's
buttons and LEDs were dead unless the user drew wires the real stack
does not have. Wires keep working exactly as before for every other
host (Uno, Mega, Pi, STM32, ...).

setMicrophoneSource now RETURNS whether a bridge actually took the
source, so a part can state that this host has no I2S instead of
pretending to stream into a void — capability reported, never invented.

createNeopixelDecoder is exported: boards are not the only things
carrying an addressable LED, and a part with one on board needs the
same decode rather than a drifting copy.

David Montero 1ad1fd4137 feat(components): DS3231 RTC module + GPS NEO-6M NMEA talker
DS3231 (I2C 0x68):
- New velxio-ds3231 Web Component (4-pin module: GND/VCC/SDA/SCL) with
  pinInfo per CLAUDE.md 6a; registered in elements-register + main.tsx.
- Catalog entry in scripts/component-overrides.json (_customComponents)
mirrored into components-metadata.json exactly as the generator emits it
(verified by cloning wokwi-elements and running generate:metadata: zero drift).
- The existing VirtualDS3231 device sim (DS1307-compatible time regs
  0x00-0x06 + control 0x0E / status 0x0F / temperature 0x11-0x12 at 0.25 C
steps) is now user-reachable from the picker; the AVR/RP2040 attach path
gains live temperature updates via the SensorControlPanel (new ds3231
  slider in sensorControlConfig).

GPS NEO-6M (UART talker, 9600 baud):
- New velxio-gps-neo6m Web Component (VCC/RX/TX/GND, pulsing PPS LED).
- New part sim GpsParts.ts: emits a valid GPGGA+GPRMC cycle per second
(correct XOR checksums, ddmm.mmmmm coords, UTC clock advancing 1 s/cycle)
with lat/lng/altitude/speed configurable via property dialog and live
  via a new SensorControlPanel entry. Defaults: Madrid 40.4168 N 3.7038 W.
- Injection routes, chosen by classifying the wired board pin:
  1) hardware UART RX -> new uniform sim.feedUart(uart, data) seam
     (AVR USART0, RP2040 uart0/1 via rp2040js feedByte, ESP32 uart0/2 and
STM32 USART1/2 via their bridge shims); byte feed is paced in 8-byte
     wall-clock chunks so 32-byte RX FIFOs never overflow;
  2) any other digital pin on a cycle-accurate sim -> real 8N1 bit-banged
     waveform via schedulePinChange, so SoftwareSerial decodes it;
  3) feedUart rejection (e.g. Mega USART1-3, not modelled by avr8js)
degrades permanently to the bit-banged path.
- Interconnect already probed sim.feedUart; implementing it also upgrades
  cross-board UART byte shortcuts for RP2040 uart1.

Tests: new gps-neo6m.test.ts (16 tests: NMEA builders, byte injection on
Uno RX0 / ESP32 RX2, Mega RX1 fallback, waveform decode back to $GPGGA,
live position updates, PPS pulse) + 3 new ds3231 AVR-path tests in
protocol-parts.test.ts. Full frontend suite: 2294 passed, 2 pre-existing
Galaksija Z80 timeouts that pass in isolation. npx tsc --noEmit clean.

David Montero Crespo e0a69fecae fix(canvas): apply the drag rank on the group, not inside it
Drag-to-front lifted boards but never parts: a component's z lives
inside .component-interactive-group, which is itself a stacking
context, so the 10+rank set on the inner wrapper was clamped to the
group's own level (1/2) while boards compete one level up as direct
children of .canvas-world. Once any board had been dragged it sat at
10+rank and no component could ever climb back over it — drag an LED
onto the Arduino and the board swallowed it, exactly as reported.

The rank now lands on the group itself (both branches: instruments and
ordinary parts), so parts and boards share ONE rank space and the last
thing dragged really is the thing on top. The inner wrapper keeps its
local 1/5 for selection order within the group.
2026-07-31 16:40:01 +02:00
David Montero Crespo cb26e36b28 feat(canvas): drag-to-front — whatever you dragged last paints on top
An unseated board dropped over a component was painted underneath it
(boards z 0, components z 1) and became impossible to grab back; the
earlier blanket z bump for boards broke the opposite case, hiding LEDs
and transistors behind every board. Neither static order can win both.

The rule is now the user's own gesture: the FIRST movement of a drag
raises that item (board or part, symmetrically) to the top of a
monotonic dragged-stack, so a board dropped over an LED sits visibly on
top — and dragging the LED afterwards wins the stack right back.
Click-select alone never raises: selection must not reshuffle a scene
you arranged. Untouched items keep the static layering (components
above unseated boards, seated boards above their socket), and the rank
map is ephemeral — never saved with the project.

David Montero Crespo 08c5626b79 feat(sim): board-agnostic microphone seam + reSpeaker gallery glyph
setMicrophoneSource on the simulator shim mirrors addI2CDevice: a part
that produces audio hands one 16-bit sample per call to whatever bridge
implements the method (the in-browser JS-engine bridges); everywhere
else the optional chain makes it a silent mic. No board-kind checks in
components. Plus the flat reSpeaker Lite glyph for gallery cards.

David Montero Crespo e9053f73fe ui(editor): one control height and one blue across the toolbar strip
Every control in the unified strip is now 28px tall: tb-btn (was 30),
Libraries (was 26), the C++/MicroPython select (was ~22), the board
selector, Serial/Scope, canvas icon buttons, zoom and Add (all were 32).
The explorer toggle moves inside the Code/Both/Circuit segmented group
as its first segment, and every active-segment blue is the Libraries
blue (var(--color-action-primary)) instead of the hardcoded #0e639c.

The editor zone's overlap floor becomes min-width: max-content — the
hardcoded 280px sat below the real content width, letting the console
button paint over the board selector when the docked chat narrowed the
bar. Now the zone can never shrink under its buttons; flex-wrap moves
the canvas controls to a second line instead. Also closes the gap
between the logo and the File menu (header gap 16->6, menubar
margin-left 14->2).

David Montero Crespo 155513a493 fix(editor): account footer is the account alone; language rides elsewhere
The bottom-left block read wrong: a globe crowding the account button for
no gain — language already lives in the menubar's Language menu for
everyone, and (for signed-in users) inside the account menu. The footer
now holds only the account button.

Width-aware, as requested: when the explorer is dragged narrow (footer
under 150px, via container query) the username hides and the avatar
alone identifies the account; with the explorer collapsed, the floating
fallback box shows just the circle.

Adds the OSS half of the crash fix: LocaleSync listens for
'velxio-locale-switch' window events and performs the locale change as a
normal SPA navigation. The pro account menu is injected into its own
React root OUTSIDE the Router, so it cannot navigate itself — its
language rows dispatch this event instead.

David Montero Crespo e17f6fd6cf i18n(editor): translate the remaining raw UI strings
The explorer toggle tooltips (Hide/Show file explorer) and the header's
Share-project title were raw English — now keyed and translated in all
nine locales, same common2.json home as the menubar strings.

David Montero Crespo db632832b4 i18n(editor): translate the new menubar in all nine locales
Every menu we added lived on t() English fallbacks — the keys did not
exist in ANY locale file, so a Spanish or Chinese user got an English
menubar. 29 keys (editor.menu.* + the toolbar labels the File menu
reuses) now exist in en/es/pt-br/it/fr/zh-cn/de/ja/ru.

Two entries needed their own leaf keys: editor.toolbar.compile and .run
are nested OBJECTS (title/options/... sub-keys), so t() on them cannot
resolve to a string — the menu now uses editor.menu.compile / .run,
which also avoids double shortcuts ("Compile (Ctrl+B)" plus the menu's
own Ctrl+B column).

Verified mechanically: all 38 keys the menubar references resolve to
strings in all nine locales.

David Montero Crespo d233b66cc9 feat(editor): View and Language menus — full desktop-menu parity
The menubar now matches the desktop app's native menu set: File, Edit,
View, Language, Help.

View collects what the user asked to reach from a menu: Compile (Ctrl+B),
Run, Stop, Reset up top; the panel toggles — File Explorer, Output
Console, Serial Monitor, Oscilloscope/Logic Analyzer — in the middle
(store-backed ones render a live check, like a real desktop menu); and
the canvas view actions (center, zoom) move here from Edit, which goes
back to being undo/redo only, as menus have always worked.

Language lists the nine locales with the current one checked, switching
through the same switchLocale path the header globe uses — so language is
reachable from the menubar regardless of the account state, on top of
living in the signed-in account menu.

Run/Stop/Compile/Reset and the console toggle register through the
editorCommands seam from EditorToolbar (their handlers close over its
state); the explorer toggle from EditorPage; serial and scope call their
stores directly, same as undo/redo.

David Montero Crespo 3b7abfc4f7 feat(editor): account block fuses into the explorer footer
The floating corner box sat ON TOP of the file tree — create enough files
and the last rows scrolled underneath it. The account + language block is
now the explorer panel's footer (VS Code style): the tree scrolls above
it, always. When the explorer is collapsed the block falls back to the
small fixed corner box, so account and language stay reachable.

The standalone language globe becomes a logged-out affordance: once the
pro auth slot renders its signed-in marker (data-auth-user), a :has()
rule hides the globe — signed-in users change language inside the
account menu, where the pro overlay now hosts it.
2026-07-30 20:54:24 +02:00
David Montero Crespo 57d7c93c90 fix(editor): corner-box dropdowns open upward
The language menu and the account menu were written for the top bar and
open downward; from the bottom-left corner box that means straight off
the bottom of the viewport. The language menu flips via a scoped CSS
rule; the account menu (pro) now anchors bottom-up whenever its trigger
sits in the lower half of the screen.
2026-07-30 20:25:52 +02:00
David Montero Crespo 341bebeb39 fix(editor): corner box escapes the header's containing block
The header's backdrop-filter makes it a containing block for fixed
descendants, so the corner box's bottom:8px resolved against the 45px
header — measured at y=-4, sitting on the logo. Portaled to <body>, where
fixed means the viewport. The auth slot keeps working: pro's injector
finds it by attribute wherever it lives.
2026-07-30 20:09:30 +02:00
David Montero Crespo 3100d453c2 feat(editor): language + account move to a bottom-left corner box
IDE-style: a small fixed box in the explorer's quiet bottom corner holds
the language switcher and the account button (pro keeps injecting it into
the same data-velxio-slot, just relocated). The autosave dot rides next
to the menus, and the header's Share button is gone — File > Share/Embed
already covers it.

The point is width: emptying the header's right side gives the toolbar
the last ~150px it needed, so the single-row layout now holds down to
~1400px WITH the chat docked — which is exactly the reported 1440x900
case. Tight-fallback thresholds drop accordingly (1400/1060/1040).

Desktop-editor variant only; marketing pages and mobile keep their
header untouched.
2026-07-30 19:52:58 +02:00
David Montero Crespo 8868a3c585 feat(editor): fold the "..." menu into File — with its PRO pills
The toolbar's overflow button held four leftovers (Share/Embed, Sync to
GitHub, Upload firmware, Record simulation). They move into the File
menu, which is where a session-frequency action belongs, and the strip
loses one more button. The PRO pill travels with them — same style the
overflow used (now .emb-pro) — and the two File items that were always
premium (BOM, schematic image) finally show it too: users should know an
item is premium BEFORE clicking, not via a surprise upgrade prompt.

The pro actions keep firing the same window events the overflow items
fired (share/github-sync/record prompts), so the overlay's listeners are
untouched and OSS builds keep their silent no-op. Dead overflow CSS
removed with the button.
2026-07-30 19:18:37 +02:00
David Montero Crespo ffb4fc0159 feat(editor): toolbar rides inside the header — one row, not two
With the marketing nav gone from the editor header, its middle was ~700px
of dead space at 1280 while the toolbar occupied a whole second 38px bar.
The unified toolbar strip now fills that middle through a new AppHeader
editorToolbar slot: one 44px row where there used to be 44+38 — a full
row returned to the code and the canvas.

The strip keeps its own class names, so everything that keyed on them
keeps working untouched: the container queries, the docked-chat
padding-right, and the internal flex-wrap. When it truly cannot fit, the
strip wraps and the header grows (height: auto on the modifier class)
instead of clipping or overlapping; brand and the right-side controls
stay pinned to the first line. Inside the header the strip drops its own
background and border so it reads as one bar, not a box within a bar.

Mobile keeps the previous layout (no strip; the mobile tab bar remains).

David Montero Crespo b70bb8ab83 refactor(routes): OSS is the editor; marketing moves to the overlay
The open-source build now ships exactly its product surface: /editor, the
examples gallery (/examples, /examples/:id) and the per-example editor
(/example/:id). Landing, about, pricing, docs, the 14 keyword-targeted
simulator landings and the v2/v2.5/v3 showcases move to the private
overlay, registered through the same registerProRoutes seam that already
carries login/admin/classroom.

Root behaves per build: an overlay that registers an index route claims
'/' (velxio.dev keeps its landing); otherwise '/' redirects to /editor.
The redirect waits for the overlay import to settle — same contract as
markProExamplesSettled — so a velxio.dev visitor is never bounced into
the editor because the landing was 300ms away from registering.

Prerender and sitemap follow the split: entry-server pulls the marketing
page map from '@pro/pages/marketing' behind a VITE_PRO_BUILD-gated dynamic
import (the proven main.tsx pattern, with an OSS stub for tsc), and
generate-sitemap lists only served routes in OSS builds (2 URLs) while
pro builds stay byte-identical — verified against a pre-migration
baseline: sitemap (37 URLs) and prerendered /, /about, /docs,
/arduino-simulator, /esp32-simulator, /v3 all identical modulo hashed
asset names. OSS prerender drops exactly the 32 marketing pages (348→316).

The OSS header slims down to match: Editor, Examples, GitHub, Discord —
the marketing links only render in pro builds, where their routes exist.
The editor Help menu links those pages absolutely (velxio.dev) in OSS,
exactly like the desktop app's Help menu.

Blog, About Velxio | Discord Community, GitHub Repository.

solapan — medido, no impresion: a 1024px Code/Both/Circuit pisaban a

File: nuevo
workspace, nuevo fichero, abrir, guardar, importar, exportar, BOM,

`undefined === undefined` era cierto con socket a null y connect() volvia

simulator.setPinState(pin, nivel).

David Montero Crespo 43ef6c9f1d feat(seams): instant-engine registry for QEMU-Linux boards
Generic seam only — no board, OS or runtime specifics in the OSS tree:
an overlay may register an engine that decides, per board, whether a run
needs the Linux guest or can happen in the browser. The decision is data
(engine + reason + where) so the UI can explain a 90 s boot instead of
just taking it, and BoardInstance carries engineMode / enginePinned so
the user's choice is predictable and the terminal panel knows whether an
interactive shell exists. Nothing registers in OSS: the QEMU path is
untouched.

Keeping Play enabled while the guest ran broke the convention every

David Montero Crespo bbafe66ee7 feat(pi-family): unified editor UX — Monaco + explorer + bottom xterm, one file surface
QEMU-Linux boards used three competing file surfaces (workspace group
with a meaningless sketch.ino/libraries.json, the VFS panel with its
Upload button, and the Pi workspace's own editor). Now they behave like
every other board:

- the editor file group defaults to script.py for ANY Pi-family kind
(kind-based check via isPiBoardKind, not the old raspberry-pi- string)
- the libraries.json manifest row is hidden for Pi boards
- EditorPage always renders Monaco; the RaspberryPiWorkspace swap is
  gone
- the bottom serial panel renders the interactive xterm (PiTerminal,
now seeded with session history) for running Pi boards
- example vfsFiles load into the editor group (single source of truth);
the run path uploads the group into the guest home
- Run on a booted guest re-runs without the 45 s reboot (Ctrl-C +
re-upload + run); starting a Pi board pops the terminal open
- piSyncAndRunScript/piRerunScript exported from the store; auto-run
now applies to the whole family (guestHome/autoRun overridable)

- ProBoardDef.guestHome: VFS home dir override ('/root' for guests that
log in as root); those boards drop the historic hello.sh sample
- upload sequence extracted to utils/piUpload (shared by the VFS panel
  button and autoRun)
- serial monitor strips DEL/C0 control echoes (backspace showed tofu)

David Montero Crespo 3803a41a07 fix(canvas): attachBuiltins keyed on a stable run signature, not boards identity
The boards array is replaced on every serial batch, so the attach effect
detached/re-attached built-in peripherals at up to 60 Hz while output

One-shot streams (a guest display list) never recover — the repainting
SPI LCD decoders masked this for ESP32 boards.

David Montero Crespo 55dd25eeba feat(pi-family): guestSetup seam + board-branded workspace texts
Overlay QEMU-Linux boards are not Raspberry Pis: ProBoardDef.guestSetup
lets a board send one shell line at the boot prompt (hostname/PS1/clear)
to de-brand the generic image, sent before piBooted flips so uploads

David Montero Crespo 7bb54e8d32 fix(toolbar): Run on QEMU-Linux boards boots directly — no bogus firmware error

    get boardSocket(): { anchorPin, accepts }

Pin.PULL_DOWN if the pin floats") — ahora lo hace. Es un fallo de hardware de
verdad, no un artefacto del emulador.

3) gallery-run-gate.audit.test.ts: EditorToolbar bloquea el Run cuando el
verificador de circuito saca errores, asi que un circuito invalido no es
cosmetico, es la diferencia entre un ejemplo que arranca y uno que parece
muerto. Y esos defectos se esconden hasta que el circuito resuelve DE PUNTA A
PUNTA: c3-button llevaba un LED de 506 mA que nadie veia porque sus cables
   apuntaban a pines inexistentes.

sendPinEvent(gpio, true), o sea "pulsado = ALTO".

Verificado: backend 293 pasan / 0 fallan (v3.2 traia 7 rotos); frontend 2268
pasan / 0 fallan en los dos shards.

David Montero 734b7d0487 feat(esp32): pure ESP-IDF language mode for the ESP32 family (#139)
Adds a third entry to the board language selector next to Arduino C++
and MicroPython: ESP-IDF. In this mode the user writes a plain ESP-IDF
project — app_main() entry point, FreeRTOS + driver APIs — and the
backend compiles it through the same ESP-IDF toolchain it already uses
for ESP32 Arduino sketches, just without the arduino-esp32 component.

Backend:
- CompileRequest.language ('espidf') threaded through the sync + async
compile paths and folded into the dedup job key (language='arduino'
and omitted hash identically so old clients keep dedupping).
- espidf_compiler: pure_idf flag. User files are written into main/
as-is (no Arduino.h wrap, no velxio_compat.h, Arduino library
resolution skipped), ARDUINO_ESP32_PATH is dropped from the build env
and VELXIO_PURE_SKETCH raised so the template CMake compiles the
user's own sources via a glob branch. Pure builds get their own
persistent build-dir variant through the eff_hash fold.
- QEMU WiFi compat for IDF-style code: esp_wifi.h/esp_wifi_init
detection sets has_wifi, and literal #define SSID/PASS plus
wifi_config_t designated initializers are normalized to the QEMU AP.
- CONFIG_ARDUINO_* lines are stripped from sdkconfig.defaults in pure
mode (the symbols don't exist without the arduino component).

Frontend:
- LanguageMode gains 'espidf'; BOARD_SUPPORTS_ESPIDF covers the ESP32
family (Xtensa, S3, C3). Toolbar shows the option only for those.
- Switching modes seeds a main.c blink skeleton (app_main + gpio
driver), mirroring the MicroPython main.py flow.
- compileCode sends language='espidf'; run/stop paths are unchanged
(the QEMU worker consumes the same merged flash image).
- New gallery example: esp32-idf-blink (LED + resistor on GPIO 2).

Tests: unit coverage for the build-env switch, IDF wifi normalization,
job-key variance, file-group seeding and the new example; verified
end-to-end in a container from the prod image (pure build produces a
bootable flash image; Arduino-mode build unchanged, same variant hash).

David Montero Crespo 116afcab98 feat(sensors): runtime seam for overlay-registered sensor controls
registerSensorControls() lets a private build add SensorControlDef entries for
sensors it ships outside the OSS tree (e.g. the DFRobot Gravity analog family)
so they get the live slider panel; every SENSOR_CONTROLS lookup now goes
through getSensorControl(id) which falls back to the registered map. Dead code
in a pure OSS build, same contract as proBoardRegistry / registerComponentDoc.

David Montero Crespo c6ec887a21 fix(picker): declare the version hooks BEFORE the memos that list them as deps
filteredComponents' new registryVersion dep evaluated in its useMemo deps
array while the const was still in the temporal dead zone (declared further
down the component) — 'Cannot access N before initialization', white screen
on every page. Hooks moved up next to the registry declaration.

David Montero Crespo 5beccf94a6 fix(picker): late overlay registration re-renders the picker — no more reload races
The @pro overlay import is dynamic, so board/component registration can land
AFTER the picker mounted and memoized its lists. allBoards had frozen deps —
if the picker rendered first, overlay boards (M5Stack Core, Cardputer,
Pimoroni, C6) vanished for the whole session while their ONLINE ads were
already hidden; the component grid + ONLINE component ads flipped between ad
cards and real entries depending on who won the reload race (different SVG,
ONLINE badge appearing and disappearing, wrong hover thumbnail).

proBoardRegistry and ComponentRegistry.mergeComponents now bump a version and
notify subscribers; the picker's allBoards / filteredComponents /
visibleComponentAds memos key off those via useSyncExternalStore — same
contract as proRoutes and registerProExamples.

David Montero Crespo 75680a408c fix(picker): variant-true previews + datasheet popover above the modal
- The card preview creates the live element but only forwarded
defaultValues.value, so variants sharing a tag rendered identically (both
M5Stack Chain matrices showed the dark RGB housing — the mono flag never
reached the element). Forward every defaultValues entry, matching what
  DynamicComponent assigns at placement.
- The hover datasheet panel sat at z-index 2000 while the picker overlay was
raised to 9000 (above the AI chat), hiding the popover behind the very
modal that summons it. Raise it to 9100.

David Montero Crespo 78f5f5ebc3 feat(proBoardRegistry): attachBuiltins — overlay-owned built-in peripheral wiring
Boards with built-in hardware (LCD on the element's own canvas, speaker,
on-board buttons/keyboard) need run-time wiring between the DOM element and
the board's simulator shim / ESP32 bridge. One generic SimulatorCanvas effect
now hands those handles to the overlay's attachBuiltins shortly after run
start and runs its cleanup on stop — no board names in the OSS tree.

David Montero Crespo 32958640a3 feat(boards): runtime board-registration seam for private overlays
registerProBoards() lets a hosted overlay ship boards outside the OSS tree as
data-only definitions: registration patches the exported BoardKind maps
(labels / FQBN / MicroPython) so every existing read site keeps working, and
the sites a map can't cover consult the registry — canvas render (custom
element or overlay render fn), BOARD_SIZE, pin-name mapping, picker list +
descriptions + tag, ESP32 family routing, in-browser simulator construction
and firmware load (structural ProBoardSimulator contract, duck-typed PIO
attach/detach), built-in bridge sensors, and a CS-gated built-in microSD
(sdCsPin -> sd_card.cs_pin worker config). Esp32Bridge additionally gains the
esp32-c6 machine type + TX pin (public chip knowledge — the C6 compile path
already ships) and a generic sendKey() for built-in matrix keyboards.
registerProExamples() appends gallery examples at runtime; the board ONLINE
ads recompute at render so registration hides them. OSS behavior without an
overlay is unchanged — the registry is dead code, same as the other seams.

David Montero Crespo 9e8381e032 feat(picker): online-only COMPONENT ad cards + overlay datasheet seam
Components that only exist in the hosted editor now advertise themselves in
the picker exactly like the online-only boards do: ONLINE_ONLY_COMPONENT_ADS
(same module as the board ads) renders an ONLINE-badged card that links to
velxio.com, auto-hidden in any build whose ComponentRegistry has the real
component (the hosted overlay merges it in — no per-build switches). First
entries: the M5Stack Chain RGB/Mono 8x8 matrices. componentDocs gains
registerComponentDoc(id, raw) so an overlay can supply the hover datasheet
for components it injects at runtime.

David Montero Crespo 9c26174c93 fix(sim): clean restart on Run after agent + display body occludes crossing wires
Two issues from a real ESP32 7-segment clock the agent built.

Run after the agent didn't work until a page reload
---------------------------------------------------
The agent's run_simulation leaves the ESP32 board RUNNING (live QEMU
WebSocket). Esp32Bridge.connect() is a no-op while the socket is non-CLOSED,
so the user's subsequent Run click called startBoard() → connect() → did
NOTHING. And if the backend QEMU session had since died while the frontend
socket lingered (CONNECTING/OPEN/CLOSING), the user saw a dead sim that only
a reload cleared — exactly the "di Run y no funcionó; recargué y sí" report.
The Arduino/C++ QEMU path now stops a running board first (closing the WS),
waits for it to settle, then boots fresh — the MicroPython path already did
this for the same reason.

Wires painted over the 7-segment digits
----------------------------------------
The agent bridges each segment strip to its resistor from a breadboard hole
that is physically UNDER the seated display; on the flat canvas those wires
(wire layer z 35) painted over the digits (component z 1) — "casi ni se ven
los dígitos". A large-bodied display seated on a breadboard now renders
ABOVE the wire layer, so its face occludes the wires crossing it exactly as
the real part's body would (the wire passes behind it to reach the hole).
Scoped to display bodies (7segment, matrix, oled, lcd, ili9341, led-ring…)
and only when actually seated; thin parts and free-floating displays are
untouched. The pin overlay + seated-pin markers share the display's stacking
group, so they rise with it and wiring still works.

David Montero Crespo d726139946 feat(breadboard): one-hole-one-wire selection rules + jumper colors
Fixes the reported breadboard wiring UX ("requerimos un vocabulario"):

Vocabulary implemented (breadboardOccupancy.ts, pure + unit-tested):
  - 1 hole = 1 wire. A hole already holding a visible wire can't start a
new one — clicking it SELECTS that wire. This is the core fix: wires
running hole-to-hole across the board were impossible to select
because the pin overlays swallowed every click and silently started a
new wire (so the top horizontal rail wire was un-deletable).
  - Same 5-hole strip / rail = one net. When a new wire end lands in an
occupied hole (a seated leg or another wire), it shifts to the
NEAREST FREE hole of the same group — electrically identical, the
real-world "bridge to the next hole in the row". Never crosses strips.

Two selection bugs behind the symptom:
  - Click on a wire lying over the breadboard BODY now selects the wire
instead of opening the breadboard's 830-hole property dialog (that
list popping over everything was the "se sobrepone la lista de todos
los puntos" report). Guarded so the bubbled canvas click doesn't
    re-toggle the fresh selection.
  - Click on a hole occupied by a wire selects the wire (handlePinClick),
so wires anchored in holes are reachable at all.

Jumper colors (like a real kit — a board of identical green wires is
unreadable, "se ven todos verdes"):
  - Power-rail holes mandate red (tp./bp. = +) / black (tn./bn. = −).
  - Other breadboard holes get a random jumper-palette color on manual
draw; red and black are reserved for rails.
  - jumperColorForId gives agent/deterministic callers a stable per-wire
    color across reloads.

Tests: breadboard-occupancy.test.ts (12) — findWireAtHole (skips seating
wires, topmost wins), resolveFreeHole (same-strip shift, no cross-strip,
rail shift, passthrough), color policy (rails, palette determinism,
red/black reserved).

David Montero Crespo c02547049d feat: ESP32 bridge seams, picker datasheets, S3/C3 examples + online-only board showcase
Generic platform work ported from the internal line:
- Esp32BridgeFactory seam + rebuildEsp32Bridge + sync-I2C seam: a
substitute simulation bridge (e.g. the hosted editor's in-browser JS
emulators) can be installed without touching OSS code
- Component datasheets: hover popover (ComponentInfoPanel) + markdown
  docs for common parts
- Per-chip S3/C3 basics examples for the gallery
- .gitignore: never allow pro emulator mask ROMs into the OSS repo

New: online-only board showcase. Boards implemented by the hosted editor
(ESP32-C6, M5Stack Core, Cardputer ADV, Pimoroni RP2350 family) appear
in the picker as advertisement cards with an ONLINE badge linking to
velxio.com, where they are free to use. Ads auto-hide in any build that
registers the real BoardKind.

David Montero Crespo 701042fa22 fix(perf): un-freeze the editor during fast-toggling simulations (ESP32 clock)
Running a multiplexed 4-digit 7-segment clock on ESP32/QEMU froze the
browser for minutes after Run — evaluate probes waited 40-90 s, and before
the first fixes the sim WebSocket eventually died (code 1006) with the page
never recovering. CPU-profiled on staging; four compounding per-GPIO-edge
costs, in profile order:

updateComponentState minted a new components array per edge
------------------------------------------------------------
The store setter rebuilt `components` (and one properties object) on EVERY
edge even when the state didn't change. The breadboard is direct-wired to
13 board pins, so segment toggles produced thousands of store sets per
second; every subscriber re-rendered each time, and the canvas subscription
effect (deps: [components, ...]) re-subscribed all pin listeners in a loop.
Now a no-op guard returns prevState unchanged, and breadboards are treated
as self-managed (they have no visual on/off state to echo).

CompilationConsole re-rendered every log line per editor render
----------------------------------------------------------------
The post-compile console holds hundreds of lines; each render called
Date.toLocaleTimeString per line (~0.2 ms each — it builds a fresh Intl
formatter every call). Profile: 162 s of self time in LogLine over a 337 s
window, in ~150 ms tasks. LogLine is now memoized (entries are immutable),
timestamps go through one shared Intl.DateTimeFormat, and the console
itself is React.memo'd against parent re-renders.

Per-edge full SPICE re-solves
------------------------------
PinManager requested a FULL netlist rebuild+solve on every 'mcu' edge.
Now only the edge that newly classifies a pin as MCU-output triggers the
rebuild (that's what emits the pin's V-source); steady-state updates flow
through connectMcuEdgesToService's per-pin coalesced alterSource path.
The start.ts resolve hook is trailing-throttled (33 ms) for the other
per-edge callers (RP2040, custom chips), the service's pending-edge queue
drains on a 33 ms gap timer instead of replaying back-to-back, and new
edges arriving inside the gap queue instead of soloing a solve.
STM32 / Pi reverse pin-name mappings added to connectMcuEdgesToService so
those boards keep fine-grained updates now that the full-tick storm is
gone (PA0/PC13-style and GPIO-style names never matched before).

wokwi-7segment re-rendered per segment write
---------------------------------------------
element.values now flushes at most every 8 ms per display (trailing write
guaranteed), instead of re-rendering the 32-shape SVG per edge.

Also: CLN (colon) pin support for 7-segment clock faces — wired CLN now
drives colon/colonValue in both the attachEvents path and the QEMU
onPinStateChange path; it was silently ignored, so clock colons never lit.

Verified on staging with the failing project: main-thread probes drop from
40-90 s waits (324 long tasks, 52.6 s blocked in 150 s) to 5-11 ms
(2 long tasks, 179 ms), display shows 12:00 with the colon blinking at
1 Hz from the first seconds after Run.

David Montero a000fba154 fix(picker): Pi family component cards — full illustrations + PRO badge
The registry's Pi Zero/1/2/3/4/5 component entries rendered the live
velxio-raspberry-pi-* element clipped to a sliver and carried no PRO
marker. Reuse the board illustrations keyed by tagName (Zero/1/2
intentionally share the Pi 3 art) and show the shared gold PRO pill on

David Montero 1ce0bad5c8 fix(picker): Pi 4/5 board thumbnails as full illustrations + clearer PRO badge
The Pi 4/5 cards instantiated their live custom element at natural size
with a CSS scale; the transform keeps the unscaled layout box, so the
100px thumbnail clipped the board to a narrow vertical sliver. Use the
existing board illustration PNGs with objectFit contain, same as Pi 3.
The PRO badge on gated boards grows to a readable pill with a drop
shadow.

David Montero Crespo 651161559a feat(wires): avoid other wires + live routed preview + system-owned shapes
Extends the existing component-avoiding A* (wireAutoRoute.ts) into the full
auto-router the canvas was missing. Three pieces:

Wire avoidance with soft costs
------------------------------
Component bodies stay hard-blocked, but wires get graded costs: running
parallel on top of another wire (within an 8px corridor) is charged per px,
a perpendicular crossing costs a small fixed amount, and bends keep their
existing penalty. Crossings must stay possible — hard-blocking wires makes
dense boards unroutable and everything would degrade to the default elbow.

The compressed grid gains "corridor" coordinates 8px to each side of every
wire segment, so the router actually has a lane to run BESIDE a wire; that
is also what lays multi-wire runs out as a tidy side-by-side bus, since
each new wire routes seeing the previous ones. Wires sharing an endpoint
with the route are exempt (wires meeting on a pin must touch there), and
only wires within 120px of the route's bbox participate, keeping the grid
under the coordinate cap on dense canvases.

autoRouted: the system owns the shape until the user takes it
-------------------------------------------------------------
New Wire flag, set by pin-to-pin creation and by agent add_wire. Every
shape-editing gesture (segment drag, waypoint drag, waypoint insert — five
call sites) clears it: from that moment the wire is hand-authored and is
NEVER re-shaped, exactly where the user put it. Wires from older projects
have no flag and are treated as hand-authored.

recalculateAllWirePositions re-routes flagged wires after endpoints move
(component drag end, agent batches, mount settle — never per drag frame).
This is also what routes agent wires at all: they are created before their
elements mount and before pin coords are final, so creation-time routing
is impossible; the settle-timer recalc routes them once geometry is real.

Live routed preview
-------------------
updateWireInProgress routes start->cursor (throttled to 40ms) and the
preview renders that path, so the wire dodges components and wires AS THE
MOUSE MOVES instead of snapping into shape on the final click. Hand-guided
previews (user-placed waypoints) keep the classic path untouched.

Verified in the live app: an agent-built breadboard circuit shows 0 wire
overlap px and 0 body crossings across all wires, and a hand-started wire
aimed collinear with an existing run previews 21px beside it, overlap 0.

David Montero Crespo 3ac00ae5ff fix(trace): recognise runtime boards and same-hole junctions in pin tracing
An ESP32 clock built by the agent stayed dark while QEMU was verifiably
emitting hundreds of GPIO edges per second (437/pin measured on the live
websocket). Reload did not help — this was not the seating race. Two
independent tracing bugs, reproduced from the real project circuit (fixture
included) and each sufficient to kill the display:

Boards added at runtime were invisible
--------------------------------------
isBoardComponent matches static id prefixes ('arduino-uno', ...), which only
covers the default board. Every board added at runtime gets a minted UUID id
— the agent's add_board always does — so traceDetailed treated the board
endpoint as an unknown component and resolved null, and SimulatorCanvas's
direct-wire subscription path skipped it entirely. Every Uno project happened
to work because they reuse the default board whose instance id IS the literal
'arduino-uno'. Both sites now consult the live boards list first, keeping
isBoardComponent as the legacy-id fallback.

Strip walking missed wires stacked on one hole
----------------------------------------------
The breadboard group walk continued the trace from every OTHER wired hole of
the strip, excluding the arrival hole by name. But two wires may legitimately
share one hole — the agent bridges strips straight into the seat hole (8 of
this circuit's 9 bridges land exactly on a resistor's own hole), which is
electrically identical to using a free hole of the strip. The name exclusion
made those junctions dead ends. Exclusion is now by incoming WIRE id, so
same-hole connections resolve; the depth bound already prevents ping-ponging
between two wires of one net.

With both fixes the exact saved circuit resolves every display pin to its
GPIO (A..DP -> 32,33,25,26,27,14,12,13; DIG1..4 -> 15,2,4,5; COM -> GND) and
the live project now shows 12:00 on the real QEMU simulation. traceDetailed
is exported for the regression test, which drives the real store with the
real circuit.
